Runs on your laptop
Get Trivia Cloud on your show computer
The night runs on a Windows or Mac laptop in your venue — fully offline once the show starts. The desktop app drives your projector and scores the round; Trivia Cloud just delivers the games to it over the internet ahead of time.
Install the desktop app
One install on the laptop that runs your trivia nights. It bundles everything the show needs, so showtime never depends on the internet.
WindowsDownload installer ↓macOSIn final testingWindows: the installer isn't code-signed yet, so on first run Windows shows a “Windows protected your PC” screen — click More info → Run anyway. (macOS is in final testing; we'll send you that build when it's ready.)
Connect it to your account
In the app, open Games → Trivia Cloud and paste two things: this site's address, and a device token that links the laptop to your venue.
Start your venue to get a token
Tokens live under Account → Connected desktops. Each is shown once, works on one laptop, and can be revoked any time without affecting games you've already downloaded.
Your games appear automatically
Buy a game on this site and it shows up in the app on its own — on launch, on a periodic check, or when you hit “Check for new content.” One tap downloads it; the app verifies the file and it's ready to run offline.
A subscription that lapses only stops new downloads — games already on the laptop stay yours to run.
What you need
- A Windows or Mac laptop for the show (the one connected to your projector/TV).
- Internet where that laptop lives, to download games ahead of time — not at showtime.
- A Trivia Cloud account with a game bought outright or an active subscription.
